Who is responsible for your data
Bizvisor Corporate Services Provider, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what the Bizvisor UAE app does with your information. It covers the app specifically; personal data we hold in order to deliver corporate services to you is also governed by our engagement terms and by the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
What the app collects from you
The app collects only what you provide in order to sign in: your email address, and the six-digit code you enter to verify it. If you allow notifications, the app also registers a device token from Apple so we can send expiry reminders to that device. The app requests no other permissions. It does not access your camera, photo library, contacts, location, calendar, microphone or health data, and it contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind.
What the app shows you
Once signed in, the app displays information Bizvisor already holds in order to provide your services: your name and contact details, the companies you are recorded against, the progress of services on those companies, key dates such as licence and visa expiry, and the documents we hold for those companies. You see only companies on which you are recorded as a member. This is enforced on our servers, not in the app.
Why we process it, and on what basis
• To sign you in and keep you signed in — necessary to provide a service you have asked for. • To show your companies, their progress and their documents — necessary to perform our contract with you or your company. • To send reminders before a licence, visa or filing expires — our legitimate interest in keeping your company compliant, and, where you enable notifications, your consent. • To keep records required of a corporate services provider — compliance with legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering and company-records requirements. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Documents
Documents are stored in Bizvisor's own Google Workspace storage, not on your device. When you open one, our server retrieves it and streams it to you; the file is held temporarily on your device only so it can be displayed, and you do not need a Google account. Our server checks on every request that the document belongs to a company you are recorded against.
Who else is involved
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions: • Google (Google Workspace) — storage of company documents. • Resend — delivery of sign-in codes and reminder emails. • Apple — delivery of push notifications to your device. • Amazon Web Services — hosting of our application and database. We do not share your personal data with anyone else except where we are required to by law or by a regulator, or where you have asked us to.
Where your data is held
Our application and database are hosted outside the UAE, and the providers listed above may process data outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred internationally we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard required by UAE law.
How long we keep it
Sign-in codes are deleted as soon as they are used, and in any case expire after 10 minutes. Device tokens for notifications are removed when you sign out or when Apple tells us the token is no longer valid. A sign-in session expires after 60 days. Company records and documents are retained for as long as we act for the company, and afterwards for the period required of a corporate services provider under UAE law. That means we may be unable to delete some records on request, even after our engagement ends.
Security
Access to the app requires a code sent to your registered email address. Your session is stored in the device keychain, and all traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us immediately so we can revoke access.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you may ask us to: • confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy; • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete; • delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep; • restrict or object to certain processing; • transfer your data to another provider, where technically feasible; • withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent — you can turn off notifications at any time in iOS Settings. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
Children
The app is for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and material changes will be communicated to you.
